How do you source candidate for professional positions? Our team has a collective 80+ years in the recruiting industry, so we have a vast network of contacts across a wide variety of professions and industries. Beyond networking, we practice highly targeted recruiting, including cold calling passive candidates to tell them about your opportunity. When appropriate, we also post to major job boards. 

Are there professional positions you cannot help with? While our style of recruiting lends itself to working on most any position, a niche recruiting firm may be a better solution for some needs. Searches for healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, healthcare managers), specialized computer and IT positions (network managers, software engineers, etc.), and attorneys are better suited for recruiting firms that specialize in these areas. Do you use ads to source candidates? When appropriate. While job boards like Indeed or Monster can be useful, we've found much more success using other recruiting methods. 

What is contingency search? Bloomfield is a contingency recruiting service, as opposed to a retained recruiting service. It simply means that, by entering into a recruiting agreement with us, you are under no obligation to hire a candidate presented by Bloomfield. This means you can engage us in your search, but also use your own resources or additional outside resources. Bloomfield only collects a fee if you hire a candidate we present to you.
